Hi! My name is Brittany Frederick, and I run Big Red Chairs. I’m not just a fan of The Voice, but I’m also a member.
You see, in my “day job,” I’m an entertainment journalist who covers The Voice for multiple websites. I am Starpulse‘s dedicated correspondent for the show and also the National The Voice Examiner at Examiner.com, to name two of them. It’s my job to recap and analyze the show for you each week, as well as interview the artists and coaches throughout the season.
I don’t just write about the show, however. My passion is in staying involved with the artists and the fans. I’m proud to say that I am the official extra member of Team Adam, with the approval of coach Adam Levine. Adam gave me his blessing after Jeff Jenkins came up with the idea to make me honorary ninth member of Team Adam in Season 1, and Katrina Parker (pictured here with me) appointed me as the thirteenth member in Season 2. I’m honored to be part of Team Adam, and I don’t even try and pretend that I’m not their biggest cheerleader. I’m pretty sure the Team Adam shirt you’ll always see me wearing gives that away.
But as Katrina once told me, while I’m proudly Team Adam, I’m really also Team Voice. I appreciate and support all the artists who have been on the show, past and present. I’ve met some of my best friends and discovered some wonderful singers from being a part of The Voice. There have been so many fantastic moments I’ve had or been a part of since I started writing about the show. That’s why I created this blog: not just to keep you updated on the show itself, but to keep you informed about your favorite artist’s new music, shows and stories, and to share with you those fun behind-the-scenes or post-show anecdotes that you wouldn’t find in any article. I’m excited to bring you my fresh perspective as a reporter, a fan and someone who is truly passionate about The Voice.
I’m also flattered that The Voice‘s social media team named me one of The Voice‘s five biggest fans (and first on that list, so maybe the biggest fan?) on August 24, 2012.
In my spare time, I’m the front woman for the Maroon 5 tribute band Burgundy Cinco. We’re on Twitter at @burgundycinco.
You can find me on Twitter at @bigredchairs or if you have a comment, question or addition for the site, you can also email me at bigredchairs@gmail.com. For more information on me personally, visit my official website, Brittany-Frederick.com. Hope to see you around!
