Episode Recap: Season 8 Blind Auditions, Part 3

The Voice

After I finally took a vacation last Tuesday, I’m back with a recap of Monday night’s episode, which includes a coach doing their own blind audition and not one but two of those dreaded montages. Check it out in the usual place.

In other news, NBC has some schedule hijinks going on again. There is an episode listed for tomorrow (Wednesday) night, but it’s the usual “Best of the Blind Auditions” clip show.

Yet, also according to the network, next Monday’s episode is entitled “Blinds End and Battles Begin,” suggesting that there’s going to be a blinds clip show before all the blinds have aired. And that we’re going to have blinds and battles in the same episode. Go figure, but be aware nonetheless.

  1. NBC probably messed up the schedule after the episodes were finished. The Voice usually prepares 9 hours of blind auditions – 3 weeks of 3 hours each, 2 on Monday, 1 on Tuesday. This season, it’s coming out 2 weeks of 4 hours each (2 Mon, 2 Tue), so there’s 1 hour leftover that will need to be combined with 1 hour of battles. Good job, network!

    1. Yeah, next Monday is called “Blinds End and Battles Begin.” What?

Unless maybe they’re just REALLY rushing the show this time. I’m not sure, but I think this might be the shortest gap between seasons (just over two months) and two weeks of blind auditions is short (remember the season it was like four weeks of auditions?).
